CS Executive Paper 6 - Economic, Commercial and Intellectual Property Laws
Syllabus note: under the ICSI New Syllabus 2022 this paper absorbed a full intellectual property law component - trademarks, copyright, patents, designs and geographical indications - alongside the economic and commercial legislation it already carried. Students working from older material frequently miss the IPR section entirely.
Economic, Business and Commercial Laws is a 100-mark paper covering the wide range of commercial legislation that CS professionals encounter in practice beyond the Companies Act. It is breadth-focused — covering 8–10 different statutes — making it the CS Executive paper where systematic chapter-by-chapter preparation is most important.
