Job Description – Billing Executive (Garment Industry)

Experience: 2-3 years (Experience in the Garment/Apparel industry preferred)

Qualification:

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent

• Experience in garment manufacturing or trading companies will be preferred.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Billing Executive with a strong background in the Garment Industry to manage billing operations, GST compliance, e-Invoicing, e-Way Bills, accounting entries, and coordination with sales, production, dispatch, and logistics teams. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Tally Prime and possess a sound understanding of garment business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate GST-compliant tax invoices for domestic and interstate sales.

• Prepare and manage e-Invoices and e-Way Bills as per statutory requirements.

• Process customer purchase orders and sales bookings accurately.

• Coordinate with the Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams for timely invoicing.

• Verify product details, HSN codes, GST rates, quantities, pricing, and customer-specific requirements.

• Maintain customer billing records, sales registers, and invoice documentation.

• Pass accounting entries in Tally Prime.

• Account for and reconcile TDS, where applicable.

• Prepare credit notes, debit notes, delivery challans, and other sales-related documents.

• Assist in GST reconciliations and support monthly and annual audits.

• Resolve customer billing queries and invoice discrepancies.

• Generate billing MIS reports and sales reports.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Mandatory experience in the Garment/Apparel/Textile industry.

• Sound knowledge of GST, including tax invoices, HSN codes, place of supply, and applicable tax rates.

• Hands-on experience in e-Invoicing and e-Way Bill generation.

• Good understanding of TDS provisions and accounting treatment.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.

• Practical working experience with Tally Prime.

• Good command of Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of garment-related documentation, dispatch processes, and customer billing requirements.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
